Managed Vulnerability Management
Vulnerability Management Services
Vulnerabilities Found, Prioritised and Fixed, by Local Analysts
- Risk-based prioritisation on real-world exploitability and business context, not CVSS scores alone
- Patch deployment for operating systems and third-party software, scheduled in agreed maintenance windows
- Compensating protection for vulnerabilities with no patch yet, and for legacy systems that cannot be patched
Overview
CRS Vulnerability Management Services runs the whole vulnerability lifecycle for an organisation as a managed service: discovering every endpoint and server, finding the vulnerabilities on them, deciding which ones matter, fixing them and proving they are fixed. One lightweight agent continuously assesses Windows, macOS and Linux devices, including third-party and line-of-business applications that scanners often miss. Local CRS security analysts based in South Africa do the work most tools leave to the client's IT team: they rank findings by real-world exploitability and business impact rather than raw severity scores, schedule and deploy operating-system and third-party patches in agreed maintenance windows, apply compensating protection where no patch exists yet or a system cannot be patched, and verify each fix. The client receives a monthly risk report and a review with their analyst, with evidence for auditors, insurers and the board. Partners resell the service under their own brand or co-deliver it with CRS. Where VAPT is a point-in-time test, this is the continuous programme that keeps the findings from coming back.
Who It's For
Key Differentiators
- Continuous, agent-based vulnerability assessment across Windows, macOS and Linux, including third-party applications
- Local CRS security analysts in South Africa who triage, prioritise and remediate, not just a dashboard handed to IT
- Risk-based prioritisation on real-world exploitability and business context, not CVSS scores alone
- Patch deployment for operating systems and third-party software, scheduled in agreed maintenance windows
- Compensating protection for vulnerabilities with no patch yet, and for legacy systems that cannot be patched
- Every fix verified by a rescan, with an auditable record of what was found, when and how it was closed
- Monthly risk report and service review with a named analyst, in the client's time zone
- Evidence for ISO 27001, PCI DSS, POPIA, the FSCA Joint Standard and cyber insurance renewals
- One agent and one monthly per-device service, with no scanning appliances or infrastructure to buy
- Resold white-labelled or co-delivered: the partner owns the client relationship
Competitive Positioning
vs. Scan-only tools run in-house
- ›A scanner produces a list. The service produces fixed systems, because local analysts do the prioritising, patching and verification
- ›Prioritised on exploitability and business impact, so effort goes to the handful of vulnerabilities attackers will actually use
- ›Compensating protection covers the vulnerabilities a patch cannot fix today
vs. Windows-only patching (WSUS, basic RMM patching)
- ›Covers macOS, Linux and third-party applications as well as Windows
- ›Every patch is checked by a rescan, with evidence an auditor will accept
- ›Patching is driven by risk, not just by whatever Microsoft released this month
vs. Annual penetration test on its own
- ›A pentest is a snapshot; new vulnerabilities appear every week. The service closes the gap between tests
- ›Pairs naturally with CRS VAPT Services: the test finds what matters, the service keeps it fixed

Partner Use Cases
Turning a Pentest Report Into Fixed Systems
A partner's client has a VAPT report with dozens of critical findings and an IT team of two. The partner places Vulnerability Management Services: the agent goes onto every device, local CRS analysts rank what attackers would actually use, patch it in agreed maintenance windows and verify each fix, and the next test comes back clean.
Adding a Recurring Line to an MSP's Patching Practice
An MSP patches Windows through its RMM but has no answer for macOS, Linux, third-party applications or systems that cannot be patched. It resells the service under its own brand and gets risk-based prioritisation, broader coverage and monthly evidence, without hiring a vulnerability team.
Showing a Regulator Continuous Vulnerability Management
A financial services client must show its auditor and the regulator that vulnerabilities are found, prioritised and closed within agreed timeframes. The monthly risk report and service review give it a dated, auditable record of exactly that.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is managed vulnerability management?
It is vulnerability management run for you as a service. Instead of buying a scanner and leaving the findings to the IT team, the organisation enrols its endpoints and servers, and a team of analysts discovers vulnerabilities, decides which ones matter, fixes them and verifies the fixes, then reports on progress every month.
How is this different from VAPT?
VAPT is a point-in-time test by a human tester that shows what an attacker could do on the day. Vulnerability Management Services is continuous: it finds new vulnerabilities as they appear and closes them, week after week. Many clients use both, with the test validating that the programme is working.
Who does the work?
Local CRS security analysts based in South Africa. They prioritise findings by real-world exploitability and business impact, deploy operating-system and third-party patches in agreed maintenance windows, apply compensating protection where a patch is not available, verify each fix and run a monthly review with the client.
What about systems we cannot patch?
Legacy and line-of-business systems that cannot be patched, and vulnerabilities with no patch yet, get compensating protection instead, so the exposure is reduced without breaking the application. Each one is recorded so the risk is visible and accepted at the right level.
Can partners resell the service under their own brand?
Yes. Partners resell CRS Vulnerability Management Services white-labelled, or co-deliver it with CRS. The partner keeps the client relationship. Each engagement is scoped to the number of devices and quoted accordingly.
