Managed Detection & Response (24/7 SOC)
Security Operations Centre as a Service
A 24/7 SOC, With Local Security Analysts Who Know Your Environment
- 24/7/365 monitoring, investigation and response, not just alerts forwarded to the client
- Endpoint detection and response with next-generation antivirus on every enrolled device
- Managed SIEM included: log collection, correlation, detection rules and long-term retention for investigations
Overview
CRS Security Operations Centre as a Service gives an organisation round-the-clock threat monitoring, investigation and response as a managed service, without hiring analysts or buying and running a SIEM. One lightweight agent on each endpoint provides endpoint detection and response with next-generation antivirus, and secure access for remote and hybrid staff. Logs from endpoints, Microsoft 365, identity, firewalls and cloud services are collected into a managed SIEM and watched 24 hours a day, every day of the year. On top of that sits a team of local CRS security analysts based in South Africa: they onboard the client, tune detections to how the business actually works, handle escalations, explain incidents in plain language and run regular service reviews, in the client's time zone and with an understanding of POPIA and local regulators. When something is wrong, the SOC investigates, confirms the incident, contains it through automated response playbooks and the local team tells the client what happened and what to do next. Partners resell the service under their own brand or co-deliver it with CRS. The client gets a working SOC, and the partner keeps the relationship and a recurring managed security revenue line.
Who It's For
Key Differentiators
- 24/7/365 monitoring, investigation and response, not just alerts forwarded to the client
- Local CRS security analysts in South Africa: onboarding, detection tuning, escalations and service reviews in the client's time zone
- Endpoint detection and response with next-generation antivirus on every enrolled device
- Managed SIEM included: log collection, correlation, detection rules and long-term retention for investigations
- Automated response playbooks (SOAR) that isolate a device or disable an account in minutes
- Identity threat detection across Microsoft 365 and Azure sign-ins, including account takeover
- Secure remote access built in: zero trust network access, secure DNS, web filtering and a cloud firewall that replace a traditional VPN
- A named local analyst who knows the client's environment and can be reached directly
- Compliance posture reporting against CIS Controls and NIST CSF, with evidence for audits and cyber insurance
- One agent and one monthly per-endpoint service, with no hardware or SIEM infrastructure to buy
- Resold white-labelled or co-delivered: the partner owns the client relationship
Competitive Positioning
vs. Building an in-house SOC
- ›Round-the-clock coverage needs several analysts on shift, plus a SIEM and the people to tune it. The service delivers that outcome for a monthly per-endpoint fee
- ›Live in weeks, not the year or more it takes to hire, tool and mature an internal team
- ›No dependency on one or two key staff members staying
vs. Traditional MSSPs and SIEM-only monitoring
- ›The SOC responds: it contains the threat, it does not only raise a ticket for the client to action
- ›Endpoint protection, SIEM, response automation and secure access come as one service, not separate contracts
- ›No per-gigabyte log pricing to forecast, and no SIEM licence for the client to own
- ›Local analysts the client can meet, not an anonymous offshore queue
vs. Standalone EDR or antivirus
- ›A tool raises alerts. Someone still has to investigate them at 2am, and the service includes those people
- ›Visibility goes beyond the endpoint to identity, Microsoft 365, network and cloud logs
- ›Secure remote access and compliance reporting are included rather than bought separately

Partner Use Cases
Offering 24/7 Detection and Response Without Hiring a SOC Team
An MSP's clients are asking who watches their environment after hours. The MSP resells CRS Security Operations Centre as a Service under its own brand: the agent goes onto every endpoint, logs flow into the managed SIEM, and the SOC monitors and responds around the clock. The MSP gains a recurring managed security line and keeps its engineers on projects instead of night shifts.
Meeting a Cyber Insurance Requirement for Continuous Monitoring
A partner's client is told at renewal that the insurer expects endpoint detection and response, log retention and 24/7 monitoring. The partner places the service, and the client can answer all three questions with evidence, including compliance posture reports for the renewal pack.
Replacing a VPN, Antivirus and Log Tool With One Managed Service
A client runs a VPN, a standalone antivirus and a log collector nobody reads. The partner consolidates all three onto the service: secure remote access, endpoint protection and a monitored SIEM through one agent and one monthly fee, with a SOC acting on what the tools find.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is SOC as a Service?
SOC as a Service is a security operations centre delivered as a managed subscription. Instead of hiring analysts and running a SIEM, the organisation enrols its endpoints and log sources, and a SOC team monitors them 24 hours a day, investigates suspicious activity, contains confirmed threats and reports back on what happened.
What is included in CRS Security Operations Centre as a Service?
24/7 monitoring, investigation and response; a team of local CRS security analysts in South Africa; endpoint detection and response with next-generation antivirus; a managed SIEM with log collection and retention; automated response playbooks; identity threat detection for Microsoft 365 and Azure; secure remote access with zero trust network access, secure DNS and web filtering; and compliance posture reporting.
Does the SOC respond to incidents, or only alert us?
It responds. Analysts investigate each detection, confirm whether it is a real incident, and contain it, for example by isolating an affected device or disabling a compromised account through an automated playbook. The client receives a clear account of what happened and guidance on the next steps.
Who are the analysts, and where are they?
Monitoring runs 24 hours a day, every day of the year. On top of it, each client has a team of local CRS security analysts based in South Africa who onboard them, tune detections to how the business works, handle escalations, explain incidents in plain language and run regular service reviews. They work in the client's time zone and understand POPIA and local regulatory expectations.
Do we need to buy a SIEM or any hardware?
No. The SIEM, the detection content and the response tooling are part of the service. The client deploys one lightweight agent per endpoint and connects log sources such as Microsoft 365, firewalls and cloud platforms.
Can partners resell the service under their own brand?
Yes. Partners resell CRS Security Operations Centre as a Service white-labelled, or co-deliver it with CRS. The partner keeps the client relationship. Each engagement is scoped to the client's endpoints and log sources and quoted accordingly.
